I am so hungry (currently no food in the house) - dreaming about all of the delicious things rn:
- Ricotta on toast with olive oil / sea salt / pepper
- Heirloom tomatoes on toast with mayonnaise and sea salt
- Corn, bacon and parmesan pasta
- A giant cheesecake
- German potato salad with thick bacon and red onion
- Lemony arugula salad with a piece chicken breast w crispy skin from the pan
- Nicoise salad with roman beans, red potatoes, olives, hardboiled eggs, sweet peppers, red onions and fennel
- Roasted cauliflower with pesto slathered on top
- Charred broccoli with lots of lemon and garlic
- Waffles
- Key lime pie
Today at work someone asked for a grande iced skinny latte with 4 pumps of hazelnut and extra foam. THIS IS NOT STARBUCKS SIR. also: it’s raining so no, I will not make your extremely absurd coffee beverage.

two weekends till the dream weekend nick and i are taking in phoenicia
slow morning today. slept in post late night tacos and drinks haze, had coffee, spent the entire morning deep cleaning the whole house, washed my hair, hand washed my bras, now eating chunky pb on toast and watching seinfeld till i go to nick’s parents’ house in tribeca for our last dinner together in their apt before they move. 😌

- woke up at 9, watched parks and rec reruns, fell back asleep til noon
- leftover french toast and bacon for bfast + coffee made by cool guy haughton
- attempt 1 of getting nick a flu shot today: fail
- walked along the river to get nick’s dad a birthday card
- stopped at chalait for tea and spro on the way, and found out someone nick knows works there and ended up chatting a bit
- talked to my mom for a nice chunk of time and it made me v happy
- simpsons reruns with a snack of raspberries and nectarine while nick fixes dinner
- girls premiere tonight YAAAS
- feeling pretty hopeless lately, idk i’ve just been feeling so down! i really want a job, i miss familiarity, i really want friends and to find my place in the city. plus winter is real hard some days. but today feels better.
- still recovering from a nasty stomach flu, but everything is ok and i’m overall pretty happy with life and v in luv
making the most of the holidays and i’m very very thankful to be spending christmas with one of the best ladies around, meg. tonight has really been so lovely filled with an actual feast of olives, breads, cheeses, tapenade, charcuterie, wine, tea, coffee, and watching it’s a wonderful life with a bûche de noël to share. presents are under the tree and we are going to wake up to french toast and bacon - joyeux noel à tous ! (p.s. look how cute she is. just the best)
